Myrmidon Maritime Security Ltd began operations in early 2010. We are a UK - EU based company registered in Cyprus and Malta. We supply both armed and unarmed security teams for vessels that must travel through "high risk maritime zones" wherein the threat of piracy is greater than usual. For this reason, in addition to qualified personnel and tactics, we include complete logistics analysis, threat-risk assessment and management strategies that best suit each contingency, as well as the client's needs.
Our Administrative Staff has vast experience in the private military contracting and security sector. Many of them are ship owners themselves and maintain cutting edge knowledge and insight of the industry and its evolution to better secure the client's initiatives. We work closely with Government and Non-Government Organizations as well as with private ship owners and cruise liners wishing to provide better security support for their staff and customers.
It is our goal to offer competitive rates and quote for our clients an "all inclusive" package. We do not believe in "hidden" or additional fees. We maintain transparency and ethical service for those organizations to which we supply our operations. Myrmidon Maritime Security Ltd maintains a 5 million USD public liability insurance umbrella for our crew in accordance with the strict guidelines established by reputable international insurance bodies and the lawful auspices of International Regulations.
The majority of our operations are located in our command center in Piraeus, Greece, wherein the largest contingent of experienced maritime corporations support their services. We maintain a 24/7 watch through our offices and command centers and are always ready to deploy or ensure the help of coalition forces in the event of an incident. We are constantly gathering intelligence and our operations team provide dedicated support to our security personnel and clients. They also have access to the latest intelligence which allows them to provides accurate data for the reporting and planning of transits. Our team leaders have a direct line to our operations centre which allows them to stay informed and alert during transits.
